Instagram: The Low-Hanging Fruit in Social Media Marketing

This discrepancy between the high activity on Instagram and the lack of investment from companies may actually explain the high level of interactions and engagements. Think about it, if there are only relatively few companies marketing to 200 million users, then they have a good chance at grabbing their attention.

One could assume that users have become somewhat accustomed to Facebook and Twitter marketing. That’s not to say that they’re not effective – they certainly are – but there is a huge opportunity for companies now on this platform. Because marketing on the social network doesn’t bombard users at this point, they’re more likely to engage with companies.
